L-P03 - Industrial and information technical professions
The Fourth Industrial Revolution, known as Industry 4.0, represents the process leading to fully automated and interconnected industrial production processes. Its full implementation requires highly specialised technicians with advanced expertise in the fields of mechanics, electronics, control systems, information technology, and their integration.
This interconnection is evident not only in products but also in processes, and therefore requires the training of new professional figures who can provide support within companies, as well as for professional bodies that offer services and consultancy to all stakeholders in the production system, from private companies to public administrations that must interact with the production landscape of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The professionally-oriented Bachelor’s Degree programme in Technologies for Smart Industry aims to train graduate engineers with a strong professional focus, who are experts in activities such as the design, implementation and management of the technologies defining Industry 4.0. There is an increasing demand for such professionals from professional bodies and the wider industry.
The degree programme qualifies graduates for the specialisation sectors of ‘Mechanics and Energy Efficiency’ and ‘Electrical Systems and Automation’ within the Register of Graduate Industrial Engineers.
The professional degree course in Technologies for Smart Industry is part of the University School for Technical Professions – Emilia-Romagna (SUPER) https://super.unier.eu/it
